Anna Cher

British

Nationality:

A UK-based rider and painter whose tender, semi-abstract equestrian portraits move between realism and expressive colour.

Anna Cher is a UK-based artist and rider whose own experience with horses feeds directly into her painting: equestrian subjects, and polo in particular, are the heart of her practice, alongside other animal portraiture.
Working primarily in acrylics and palette knife, she describes her technique as a dance between realistic and abstract art — layering colour and brushwork until a piece feels immediate, fresh and alive, rather than a static likeness. Her horses are painted with real tenderness, often paired or in close contact, catching a bond between animals as much as their physical form.
She has exhibited at Sally Mitchell's Gallery in Tuxford for their Horse in Art shows and at the Open Art Exhibition in Cambridge, and her work has sold to private collectors in the UK, the United States and Italy.
At Dane Manor Fine Art, her collection includes Eternal Embrace, Destined Hearts, Enchanted Beauty, Thinking Of You and Forever Yours.
