Chuck

Chuck is a contemporary mixed media artist who grew up with an artist mother and has been making art in one form or another for as long as he can remember. At school he explored a wide range of media and techniques, building the varied skills he draws on today.

His work fuses the classical with the contemporary, combining digital art with painting and finishing pieces with gold leaf. Inspired by the Baroque and Renaissance periods, he plays with the meeting point of antiquity and modernity in vivid, pop-influenced colour.

Surreal female portraits adorned with flowers sit at the heart of his work. Many titles reference figures from Greek mythology and celebrate the strength of womanhood, while the flowers stand for purity, hope, renewal and rebirth.
