Hayley Goodhead

Hayley Goodhead is a British painter, born in Staffordshire, who knew from childhood that she wanted to be an artist. She graduated in 2010 with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the University of Gloucestershire.

A university commission to paint a black Labrador set her on the path to animal painting. Her work pairs a realist approach and a vibrant palette with references to well-known brands, the colours and patterns of the fashion world and a love of the visual joke: zebras in bold pattern, big cats in gold and giraffes in pop-art colour.

She built her reputation by painting during the week while working in a gallery at weekends, and her originals and commissions quickly became sought after.
