Jean Picton

Nationality:

Visionary explosions of colour from a former West End performer.

Jean Picton's first career was on stage. In the 1950s she was a Windmill Girl at London's Windmill Theatre, working alongside Harry Secombe and Bruce Forsyth, and later performed in the USA and in UK television and cabaret.
After retiring from show business in the early 1990s, she studied fine art and gained an honours degree in 2002.
Her abstract paintings are vivid and joyful, often described as visionary explosions of colour on canvas. Her originals are held in collections in Europe, North America, Mexico, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand.
Dane Manor Fine Art holds a selection of her Deluxe canvas editions. Every piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
