Jody Craddock

British
Nationality:
A former Premiership footballer turned self-taught painter, now commissioned by clubs, cricketers and musicians for his sporting and figurative art.
Jody Craddock was born in Bromsgrove in 1975 and spent over twenty years as a professional footballer in the Premiership, playing for clubs including Sunderland and Wolverhampton Wanderers before retiring in 2014. Painting began as a release from football and grew into a second career in its own right.
Self-taught in oils, and also working in acrylics, resins and ink pens, Craddock has built a diverse commission clientele that includes fellow Premiership footballers, international cricketers and musicians. Wolverhampton Wanderers commissioned him to design all 25 matchday programme artworks for the 2017/18 season.
As Craddock has put it himself: "The ultimate reward for an artist is when you see your artwork taking pride of place on someone else's wall and knowing that you created that."
At Dane Manor Fine Art, his collection includes The Gift.
