Nick Potter was born in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, in 1959. He studied archaeology, ancient history and art history at Leicester University, then trained as a teacher and taught in Derbyshire.
He now lives and paints in Embleton on the Northumberland coast.
He works mainly in acrylics, using palette knives, scraping, dribbles and splatters to build texture. Wild landscapes and seascapes are his subject, and he also works in oils, watercolour, inks and monoprint.
Dane Manor Fine Art holds a selection of his limited editions. Every piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
