Vibrant Cotswold and Worcestershire landscapes with a bold, abstract edge.
Paul Powis trained at Birmingham College of Art and Design and Portsmouth Polytechnic, where he took a degree in Fine Art.
Originally an abstract painter, he turned to landscape after moving from London to Worcester. His work stays rooted in place but leans towards abstraction, with subjective colour and lively mark-making.
He has exhibited at the Mall Galleries, the Royal College of Art and the Royal Festival Hall, and his work is in public collections in the UK and USA. It has appeared in more than 20 books, and he contributes regularly to Artist & Illustrator magazine.
