Arctic Heights captures a snow-covered peak in thick, sculptural texture. Icy whites and cool blues give the painting a crisp, majestic presence that almost lets you feel the mountain air.

The peak rises sharply in the centre of the canvas, its ridges and slopes built up in heavy, sculpted strokes of white, pale grey and soft blue. Shadows on the rock faces are picked out in charcoal and slate, while the sky is kept a calm, pale wash, so the mountain stands out with real drama. The thick paint catches the light and changes as you move around it. At 80 x 120 x 10 cm, or 86.4 x 126.4 cm framed, it is a large, striking statement piece for a living room, office or chalet-style interior, and pairs well with Alpine Reverie.

Arctic Heights is a limited edition print by Bozhena Fuchs, a Prague-based painter whose intense, movement-filled brushwork captures singular moments in nature and the city alike. At Dane Manor Fine Art, her collection includes Arctic Heights and Alpine Reverie, capturing the drama of high mountain landscapes.
