Children play out on a cobbled street of terraced houses, with Leigh Lambert's trademark splashes of colour lifting the grey. As a paper artist proof, it is one of a very small number set aside from the main edition.
There May Be Trouble Ahead - Paper Artist Proof is a limited edition by Leigh Lambert, a largely self-taught painter based in Warwickshire who paints post-war Britain in near-monochrome, using small touches of colour to bring out the people.
