A mountain lake is framed by pines in this tranquil landscape. The title evokes the sound of cicadas on a warm day, and the work radiates a still, sun-soaked summer calm.
Cicadas And Pines is a limited edition print by Oshe, released in an edition of 75. Oshe strips his subjects back to their simplest forms, using limited palettes and clean shapes inspired by early twentieth-century poster art to capture the essence of a place. He calls the result luxurious simplicity.
