Red headphones on and lost in the music, a young chimpanzee takes to the decks in DJ Man Cub. Rhythmic ink lines suggest the beat, giving the drawing a lively, club-night feel.
DJ Man Cub is a limited edition print by Scott Tetlow, released in an edition of 45. Born in Rochdale in 1969 and trained in fine art at Cheltenham, Scott Tetlow fuses the flowing marks of Chinese calligraphy with an urban pop edge. His music legends, screen icons and characterful urban animals are drawn with confident, intuitive energy.
