Mid-gallop and seemingly unbound, the horse in Freedom is built from fast, charcoal-like lines that trail behind it like wind. The drawing feels urgent and joyful, an expression of movement and open space.
Freedom is a limited edition print by Scott Tetlow, released in an edition of 25. Born in Rochdale in 1969 and trained in fine art at Cheltenham, Scott Tetlow fuses the flowing marks of Chinese calligraphy with an urban pop edge. His music legends, screen icons and characterful urban animals are drawn with confident, intuitive energy.
