Brighton's Palace Pier stretches out to sea, its ornate railings and seaside architecture captured in crisp detail. The illustration evokes bracing sea air and the cheerful nostalgia of the English coast.
Palace Pier is a limited edition print by Oshe, released in an edition of 75. Oshe strips his subjects back to their simplest forms, using limited palettes and clean shapes inspired by early twentieth-century poster art to capture the essence of a place. He calls the result luxurious simplicity.
