This deluxe edition pairs a contemplative woman with a hovering hummingbird, set among layers of collage and textile pattern. Pilgrim feels like a meditation on journeys, both physical and spiritual.
Pilgrim - Deluxe is a limited edition print by The Trunk Of Funk, a Macclesfield-based mixed media artist layering photography, gold leaf and Japanese textile motifs into intricately detailed contemporary works. His work draws on childhood memories, vintage textiles and street art, built up in meticulous layers rather than resolved in a single gesture.
