Cool silvers and soft greys wash over a geisha portrait in this paper edition, as if seen through falling rain. The mood is wistful and calm, with fine layered detail rewarding close inspection.

The figure is shown in profile in a patterned kimono, her hair adorned with flowers, set against weathered wooden boards and the pale curve of a moon. Fine drips and layered textures run through the image, and small details such as flowers and dangling ornaments reveal themselves the longer you look. At 60 x 60 cm, it is a calm, contemplative piece that suits a bedroom, reading corner or any room where you want a quieter mood.

SIlver Rain - Paper Edition is a limited edition print by The Trunk Of Funk, a Macclesfield-based mixed media artist layering photography, gold leaf and Japanese textile motifs into intricately detailed contemporary works. At Dane Manor Fine Art, his intricately layered pieces — including Patience Soul, Pilgrim, Sphinx Mekhat and Porcelain — are available as limited edition prints, with Deluxe editions for several of his most detailed compositions.
