An astronaut stands on the lunar surface in Space Oddity - ReMastered, lost in quiet contemplation of the cosmos. Linda Charles pairs the lonely, dreamlike scene with lyric text and gilded accents, creating a piece that feels both wistful and grand.

The figure is painted in white, grey and silver, standing on the pale, cratered ground with the dark sky behind, while the lyric runs across a midnight-blue banner at the top. Loose drips and scrapes of paint give the surface a worn, poster-like texture. It is a lovely piece for a music lover or anyone fascinated by space.

Space Oddity - ReMastered is a limited edition print by Linda Charles, a Suffolk-based artist whose richly textured, gold-leafed portraits reimagine classic songs as couture-inspired fine art. Her practice is built around rich texture and layered surfaces, incorporating gold and silver leaf into couture-influenced portraiture with Indian and East Asian aesthetic influences, alongside animal studies.

Presented in a 60 x 42cm format, ideal for smaller wall spaces or as part of a gallery wall.
