The Council House is a limited studio edition by Nigel Cooke, released in an edition of 15. Nottingham's Council House and Old Market Square are the subject of this edition, one of only 15. It is a rare regional subject for Cooke and a natural choice for anyone with a connection to the city. Born in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, Nigel Cooke paints atmospheric cityscapes using a technique inspired by Jackson Pollock's drip paintings.
