Inspired by the ocean, this paper edition layers flowing, wave-like motifs with the artist's signature Eastern imagery. Powerful yet poised, it nods to the drama of traditional Japanese woodblock prints.
The Wave That Breaks Below - Paper Edition is a limited edition print by The Trunk Of Funk, a Macclesfield-based mixed media artist layering photography, gold leaf and Japanese textile motifs into intricately detailed contemporary works. His work draws on childhood memories, vintage textiles and street art, built up in meticulous layers rather than resolved in a single gesture.
