Seated on a stack of books with a skull and typewriter, the chimp in this miniature takes Shakespeare’s advice to heart. To Thine Own Self Be True is thoughtful, bookish and gently comic.
To Thine Own Self Be True - Miniature is a limited edition miniature by Scott Tetlow, released in an edition of 45. Born in Rochdale in 1969 and trained in fine art at Cheltenham, Scott Tetlow fuses the flowing marks of Chinese calligraphy with an urban pop edge. His music legends, screen icons and characterful urban animals are drawn with confident, intuitive energy.
