Vequaniel presents an angelic figure emerging through rivulets of dripping paint. The layered, distressed texture and muted tones create a mysterious, otherworldly atmosphere.
Vequaniel is a limited edition print by Carl Melegari, a Welsh-born, Bristol-based painter whose semi-abstract portraits build contemplative figures from dense, textured oil paint. His work has been exhibited extensively across London, Manchester, Cardiff, the South West and North America, and he has shown regularly with Ffin y Parc Gallery since 2021.
