With a tub of gravy granules close at hand, the chimp in Chimps And Gravy serves up a very British slice of humour. It is a playful, tongue-in-cheek drawing that celebrates simple comforts with plenty of character.
Chimps And Gravy is a limited edition print by Scott Tetlow, released in an edition of 25. Born in Rochdale in 1969 and trained in fine art at Cheltenham, Scott Tetlow fuses the flowing marks of Chinese calligraphy with an urban pop edge. His music legends, screen icons and characterful urban animals are drawn with confident, intuitive energy.
