An abstract female portrait emerges from fragments of colour and texture, her features calm and contemplative. Sannib's layering of paint and graphic marks gives the work a serene, almost meditative quality.
Clarity is a limited edition print by Sannib, released in an edition of 75. Sannib trained in graphic design in Aleppo and worked in advertising in Kuwait, the UAE and London before turning to art. His mixed media portraits of twentieth-century icons layer graphic elements, paint and texture with golden, earthy tones and the blues of sea and sky.
