This pencil study of a lion reveals Martin Robson's draughtsmanship at its purest, building the mane and face from fine, patient strokes. Understated yet powerful, it offers an intimate look at the artist's process.

Martin Robson trained in graphic design and spent 25 years in commercial art before painting full time from his home near Lichfield.
