A lion's amber eyes meet yours in this commanding close-up portrait. Every strand of the mane is carefully rendered, giving The King a regal, powerful presence befitting its title.
The King is a limited edition print by Martin Robson, released in an edition of 45. Martin Robson trained in graphic design and spent 25 years in commercial art before painting full time from his home near Lichfield. Working in layered acrylic, he paints big cats and wildlife with precise detail, dramatic light and a gaze that draws you straight in.
