Proudly presenting a bright pink banana as if it were a prized award, the chimp in Iconic Trophy Object is pure mischief. Splashes of colour lift the expressive black linework, poking gentle fun at art-world status.
Iconic Trophy Object is a limited edition print by Scott Tetlow, released in an edition of 25. Born in Rochdale in 1969 and trained in fine art at Cheltenham, Scott Tetlow fuses the flowing marks of Chinese calligraphy with an urban pop edge. His music legends, screen icons and characterful urban animals are drawn with confident, intuitive energy.
