Madonna winks playfully while blowing a pale-blue bubblegum bubble on a fashion-cover-style background. Cheeky, confident and full of attitude, the portrait captures the irreverent spirit of the original Queen of Pop.
Queen Of Pop is a limited edition print by Sannib, released in an edition of 75. Sannib trained in graphic design in Aleppo and worked in advertising in Kuwait, the UAE and London before turning to art. His mixed media portraits of twentieth-century icons layer graphic elements, paint and texture with golden, earthy tones and the blues of sea and sky.
