Music legends crowd a reimagined hundred-dollar bill in this busy, joyful collage, with bold colour and graphic motifs layered across the note. True to its title, the piece feels like a tribute to the healing power of song.
The Dollar - Music Is Medicine is a limited edition mixed media piece by Sannib, released in an edition of 45. Sannib trained in graphic design in Aleppo and worked in advertising in Kuwait, the UAE and London before turning to art. His mixed media portraits of twentieth-century icons layer graphic elements, paint and texture with golden, earthy tones and the blues of sea and sky.
