A chimpanzee holds on tight to a star-spangled rocket blasting upwards, beneath the words “The Only Way Is Up”. Exhilarating and optimistic, it is a joyful image of ambition and perseverance.
The Only Way Is Up is a limited edition print by Scott Tetlow, released in an edition of 45. Born in Rochdale in 1969 and trained in fine art at Cheltenham, Scott Tetlow fuses the flowing marks of Chinese calligraphy with an urban pop edge. His music legends, screen icons and characterful urban animals are drawn with confident, intuitive energy.
