A horse’s head emerges from loose, sweeping strokes of ink, its mane dissolving into energetic calligraphic marks. Spirit captures the animal’s pride and restless vitality, balancing raw gestural drawing with a calm, noble gaze.
Spirit is a limited edition print by Scott Tetlow, released in an edition of 25. Born in Rochdale in 1969 and trained in fine art at Cheltenham, Scott Tetlow fuses the flowing marks of Chinese calligraphy with an urban pop edge. His music legends, screen icons and characterful urban animals are drawn with confident, intuitive energy.
