A leopard from Sri Lanka's Yala National Park is captured in intimate close-up, every rosette and whisker rendered in fine detail. Its steady gaze gives the portrait a powerful, almost hypnotic presence.
Yala is a limited edition print by Martin Robson, released in an edition of 45. Martin Robson trained in graphic design and spent 25 years in commercial art before painting full time from his home near Lichfield. Working in layered acrylic, he paints big cats and wildlife with precise detail, dramatic light and a gaze that draws you straight in.
