An English Paradise captures a bright beach under a wide blue sky, the sand glowing in summer sunlight. Duncan Palmar's assured handling of light and water gives the scene a fresh, carefree mood that evokes long days by the sea.
An English Paradise is a limited edition print by Duncan Palmar RSMA, released in an edition of 100. Duncan Palmar is a member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists who has painted professionally since 1984. Working in oils with scumbles and glazes, he captures the changing moods of the coast, sea and countryside, and his commissions include work for the Armed Forces and Country Life covers.
