A whitewashed farmhouse nestles beneath rugged fells in Lake District Farmhouse, the mountains rising behind in muted greens and greys. The painting conveys the peace and solitude of the Lakeland countryside with quiet authority.

Duncan Palmar is a member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists who has painted professionally since 1984.
