A woman's face is half revealed through bold blocks of colour and shadow, lending this portrait an air of intrigue. Moody yet elegant, it rewards a second look as hidden details emerge.
Mystique is a limited edition print by Sannib, released in an edition of 75. Sannib trained in graphic design in Aleppo and worked in advertising in Kuwait, the UAE and London before turning to art. His mixed media portraits of twentieth-century icons layer graphic elements, paint and texture with golden, earthy tones and the blues of sea and sky.
