Apollo is a tiger portrait of real intensity, his piercing blue eyes rendered in fine detail while bursts of colourful splashes and loose lines energise the background. The result is powerful yet playful, capturing the big cat's commanding presence.
Apollo is a limited studio edition by Joe Galindo, released in an edition of 50. Joe Galindo is a Leeds-based wildlife painter, born in Mirfield, West Yorkshire. Working in acrylic, inks, spray paint and layered mark-making, he balances carefully detailed eyes with loose lines, splashes and bold colour, so every animal comes across with real character.
