Nude Study I is a sensitive charcoal drawing of a seated female figure. Confident, economical lines and soft tonal shading capture the form with quiet grace, in the classical tradition of life drawing.
Nude Study I is a limited edition by Shaun Othen, released in an edition of 45. Shaun Othen was born in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, in 1969 and studied at Falmouth School of Art. Working mainly in oils and grounded in a deep study of anatomy, his figurative work has moved from strict photorealism towards a freer style built on texture, line and abstraction.
