The third in Shaun Othen's series of charcoal studies, Nude Study III explores the human form through gestural line and delicate shading. It is an understated, elegant piece rooted in classical draughtsmanship.
Nude Study III is a limited edition by Shaun Othen, released in an edition of 45. Shaun Othen was born in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, in 1969 and studied at Falmouth School of Art. Working mainly in oils and grounded in a deep study of anatomy, his figurative work has moved from strict photorealism towards a freer style built on texture, line and abstraction.
